Jim Abraham

Jim Abraham was born and raised in Ohio, graduating from the College of Wooster (Ohio) in 1978 and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in December 1980.  Jim was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona and the U.S. District Court in 1981. Over the years, Jim has worked for injured people and their families as well as for insurance companies. Due to his experience working with both sides, Jim learned how to work toward common ground for settlement. Since 1991, Jim has been certified by the State Bar of Arizona as a Specialist in Injury & Wrongful Death Litigation. He has served as a faculty member at the State Bar’s Trial College several times since 2009. His many jury trials have involved cars, trucks, motorcycles, golf carts, defective machinery, dangerous premises, kicking horses, cows on roads, and biting dogs. Eight (8) of his jury trials involved law enforcement officers who were on duty when the injury or death occurred. In 2022, Jim celebrated 40 years of marriage with his wife, who served as a police officer, detective and probation officer during her 28-year career. Together, they have two grown children and several grandchildren. Jim is one of the most affable attorneys we have ever met and is a tremendous addition to the Zachar Law Firm litigation team.
