How common are car accident law suits in Arizona?

Car accidents are relatively common in Arizona, and there’s a specific reason for that. Let’s face it, there are a lot of cars, a lot of driverówe are a commuter city. Light rail is new, and not widespread. We are the largest metropolitan area in the nation. We don’t have a good mass transit system.  That means a lot of cars.

When a person is involved in a motor vehicle accident and they are injured, there is a claim to be made. The claim is typically made to an insurance company, and insurance companies are not typically in the process of being friendly or cooperative. Insurance companies want to hold on to their money for as long as they can.  If an insurance company can deny a claim, theyíre going to deny the claim. If they can’t deny a claim and they know they are going to have to pay some money, the insurance company wants to pay as little as possible.

That being said, please know that just because youíve been in an accident and are presenting a claim, does not mean that you are going to end up in a lawsuit. Likewise, just because you end up in a lawsuit, does not mean that you are going to end up in a trial situation. Only a very small percentage of cases ever get that far. Most settle long before the case would go to trial.
