Phoenix Personal Injury Lawyer Chris Zachar Interview Video 8 – How much will my case cost?

Ken of “Greater Phoenix Attorney at Law Magazine” interviews Phoenix personal injury lawyer Chris Zachar on being selected Solo Practitioner Of The Month, November 2010:

Ken: One question that a lot of clients ask is “how much is that going to cost me and what if this goes on for years? What if I have to go to court? How much is the initial consultation? Is that initial consultation something people have to be concerned about? Or can you elaborate on that a little bit?

Chris Zachar: Good question and is this initial consultation or investigation something people need to be concerned about with the costs? With most personal injury firms and especially with my firm, it is something you don’t need to be concerned about. I don’t charge anything for the initial consultation whether it be by phone or in person, that is my responsibility to sit down with people and get the facts to help them determine whether in fact they have a case and whether that case is worth pursuing. If that case is going to involve a lot of investigation, we might ask for a small retainer to help defray some of the expenses, but more often than not, we don’t and I understand that getting involved is my obligation and so typically, there are no upfront costs and for me to talk to a person and for me to perform an investigation. #9 Ken I know that my experience with the legal community is mostly what I see on TV, and what you see is nothing but court cases, but do most of the cases end up going to trial or what kind of ratio is that?
